Reading an article such as this with cheap journalistic traits makes one hurl! It would be more respectable if these so-called journalists would conduct proper investigations into matters before putting out these lies into the public domain.
The speed with which we publish lies, deceits and half-truths is sickening, not forgetting the pitiful language and sentence construction used in this article. Deplorable!
But let us move on to the mission of this rejoinder.

First all, this matter is in the court and will proceed according to the laws of the country. As all cases in court, commenting on this matter would be in contempt of the court and as such the Sun must tread very cautiously on these lines.
Besides, which Landlord/Property owner would allow an individual to reside on the property for over a year without any prior agreement on paper.
“The paper gathered that in November 2009, a Vienna-based Ghanaian by name Eric Appiateng, was approached by ‘Dr.’ Lorinda Liang Lan to rent his house on number 8888, plot 102 East Legon in Accra, to be used as officers for her MODERN GOLD REFINERY company.”
Let's get our facts straight, it was not Dr. Lorinda who “approached” Eric Appiateng, it was rather Eric Appiateng who offered his uncompleted building, one that he was unable to finish to Dr Liang to complete. After spending over $200,000 since August 2009 to date (not forgetting the time and labour spent to complete this) to complete the inhabitable property and furnish it into an enviable state, the property managers and owners as a result of their greed are asking for it. In addition, the property has in no way or form been used “as collateral” or “to raise various loans”
“As at the time of going to press we learnt that Lan last week called a meeting with her skeletal staff and dolled 100 Ghana Cedis to each of the workers, telling them that she was closing down the company.”
This is simply not true. There was no staff meeting called where she “dolled” (note the misuse of the word “dolled” here) out any money to her staff. Dr. Liang did no such thing. Why anyone spend thousands of dollars to fly into Ghana only to give out ¢100 to her staff who hardly turn up for work beats me. If the so-called insider would be honest with himself, the company closed down because of the inefficiency of the staff, and still, she let each staff go with a lot more than they deserved.
Such is the case of Mac Peter Ohene-Asare, the accountant of the company who turned was absent for work 18 days out of a 22 working days in March. He was still sent home with a complete office set along with a desktop computer. This failed accountant spent the entire cash imprest of close to ¢2000 given to him by Dr. Liang on himself with the excuse that he was running up and down SSNIT and IRS, both of which locations are within 15 minutes of the office premises. It turns out that Peter had made no such trips as claimed and had neglected his duty as an accountant of the company in ensuring that all taxes were paid by the company. The truth of this came out when an official from SSNIT, on her official rounds, came into the office on April 28th and mentioned that they had not seen Mr Ohene Asare since December 2010. He however did not forget to pick up his salary up until April 30th 2011 and subsequently sent a complaint to the National Labour Commission to request for compensation.
This article if filled with fact-less, empty and baseless accusation with the sole purpose of ruining not just the reputation of an honest and value-centred businesswoman, but also destroying the opportunities her investment in the country would offer citizens of Ghana.
It is even more shameful how we are so quick to politicize matters such as this and bring in unnecessary and unneeded attacks on such an individual.
It would be wise for publishers of this article to retract this publication immediately to avoid any further complications.

This is to my surprise to find out this allegation leveled against me (MAC -PETER OHENE-ASARE) by DR. Lorinda Liang; so so called woman who claims to be a Doctor, but information and research found about her has indicated that she hasn't even step in a medical school before in her life. I Worked for her for just ONE year and find out her dubious activities.

Research about lorinda Liang, has find out that she has been declared bankrupt TWICE in the UNITED STATE OF AMERICA and therefore was unable to have a standard of living and that caused her to borrow money from other source to come to GHANA for gold trading which was not even much going. There was nice and noble man called Mr. Handison; from the UNITED STATE who one time came to the country, just to be deceived by Lorrinda Liang that she owns a property, at EAST LEGON for Gold trading. Upon a secrete interrogation and answers by myself,he (MR.HANDISON) discovered that Lorinda Liang was trying to dupe him, so unknown to Lorinda Liang, Mr Handison left the country back to the UNITED STATE.
Current, Lorinda liang has been granted bail from 3 days arrest by the Bureau Of National Investigation(BNI)pending information about her.Lorinda liang, as a fraudster and a criminal woman was able to forge the signature of her Landlord;Mr.Eric Appiateng to obtain a loan from Bank but unfortunately for her, she was caught by the bank Officials because it was well noted that Mr. Apiateng has an account on that same bank and he was not in the country by then.
Lorinda liang is also on invitation Labour commission but did not turn up.
I am taking this opportunity to caution every GHANAIAN,especially the GOVERNMENT and his officials to be extremely careful about this FAKE DOCTOR (LORINDA LIANG)
This is John Henderson , the 'nice and noble man' to whom Peter refers above. I came to Ghana sponsored by Kwabena Darko , the famous Christian businessman of Darko Farms. I know him because my friends in Washington D.C. run the National Prayer Breakfast and all the backstage diplomacy that goes along with it AND who make investments in Ghana , including a Boys Home in Ghana . Darko introduced me to Lorinda Liang , as he introduced me to former President John Kukufor. 6 groups in Ghana tried to rob , maim and kill me but Darko protected me. One group, scammed me even after walking their concession for gold , meeting their people, celebrating over dinner. And I even met this group in Accra , at the East Legon 'mansion'mentioned above. After many pleadings we considered 'putting them in jail' through my contacts with the Ghanian police department but that action is no more than a hand slap with no teeth e.g. three days in jail and then out. Then they came to East Legon with fake gold and Dr. Lorinda Liang provided a 'gold gun' , an $80,000 technology that can determine the true amount of gold before smelting, and discovered it to be 'fool's gold' . They were surprised that somebody could 'know the truth' about a matter so quickly, and they were exposed and embarrassed. I pleaded with them to come to their senses and make a good business move and do the right thing. Return the mere $2100 and then we can forgive and build a good relationship, but they wouldn't / couldn't do it Very sad. Perhaps they will eventually come to see the foolishness of their ways. Darko met with me each time the other Gold groups came to see me in his office in Accra. They knew that a former Presidential Candidate and well heeled Ghana businessman had the clout to expose them, but they still came to his office and tried to find a way to 'get me alone' so they could perform their chicanery. Darko would not let me do it as he and his team could read the nature of their motives by their dialect . I listened to him , and it saved my life. Finally, he took me to meet Dr. Lorinda Liang, who he claimed, 'was the main person person doing gold business in Ghana'. She showed me the books where one of her indigenous hires 'cooked' the books and found a way to steal $16-$18 million by siphoning off the funds. I was and still am intending to fund a modern Gold refinery in Accra for Ghana and all of West Africa and many other things. But , people of Ghana and their government representatives must rise up and discipline those who lie and cheat and corrupt the environment for good business and jobs for all. Peter, all that you have said in your retort, was not true. You lied. You probably did it to cover your own sin, that you justified somehow in your mind, as did the one employee who betrayed Dr. Lorinda Liang earlier, who is now trying to run another company after stealing from her, stealing many things and even continuing it now , through other surrogates , like maybe even yourself. She is in Ghana now. Make amends NOW, before it is too late. She will forgive you and be merciful going forward as she is a woman , full of grace , in Christ. Do it! John A. Henderson
